My Approach to Online Therapy in North Carolina and Online Therapy in Florida
My initial aim as a therapist is to get to know you and the issues that bring you to counseling. Then, I want to help you establish a baseline of calm, good self-care, and coping skills. This will help you feel safe and secure before we dive into unpacking the things that are causing you pain.
Once you feel ready, we will begin to talk about the things in your past. This may include events from childhood keeping you from happiness in your present. I may suggest journaling, meditation, and other relaxation techniques to aid you in your therapeutic journey. My goal is to gain insight into where your current challenges are coming from. With this information, I can and help you get to the point where you realize you don’t have to hold on to this baggage. You can unpack it and put it away neatly. This allows you to move forward with confidence and assurance.
